In 2007 Kelly Brothers Painting, Inc. joined local professionals in creating the Sunset Magazine Idea House located in Truckee, Ca. This project was awarded to them by the area’s prominent builder Robert Marr Construction. Kelly Brothers were extremely proud to have this contractor’s support and respect.

The brothers are very pleased to have had their sister, Erin Kelly as the Project Manager for the Sunset House. It was with trust in Erin’s ability and eye for details they confidently granted her this honor. The scope of work began using Benjamin Moore’s Aura Paint. This paint was chosen for its ColorLock technology delivering rich, true color. Self-priming and with low voc’s this paint is recommended for those who think “green” and love vibrant colors.

Unique to this project was the combination of textures. Stains were used to bring out the beauty of the woods and in contrast the cement was stained to enhance the underlying earth tones of this home. Benjamin Moore’s solid color stain was used on the exterior hardy backer siding.
